With one exception there are no words that mean nothing, or, all words (except nothing) mean something that is not nothing.
Most combinations of words are nonsense, there are a few combinations of words that make sense, and in between the two extremes there are combinations of words that sound like they make sense without actually doing so. They are realitively rare, yet Hekia Parata has a real knack for finding them. It's an admirable skill, though quite undesirable in a Minister of the Crown.

No words that mean nothing?
Naught? That means nothing.
How about, nix?
Scratch? Void? Zot?

"With one exception..."
I put that bit first, for the pedants.

They all mean something. Naught is a description of nothing so has a meaning.

Nothing doesn't mean something, Philip. It means nothing :-)

Its been many years since I attended the great OBHS so wont argue Robert. One teacher once commented to my mother that he thought I only went to school to eat my lunch and play rugby so English was never a strong point. Perhaps I learnt nothing I don't remember haha

Nothing's easy to learn, Philip. Something always turns up though, to help.

Is there an art of wanting to learn nothing?
Though can it be called an art?
I often wonder why it is we cant see air and can see through clean water.Or why your stomach can digest a steak but not itself.
Should have paid more attention at school. We had those telephone winders that could give a healthy shock so that took up a lot of the 4th form working out what the current could travel down.Often to my detriment as some teachers had little sense of humour in those days.
