Beached as!

This impressive figure is the latest of the 'non-commissioned' works to appear around our town, this time on the foreshore at Taramea Bay.
My guess is that it's a family effort and I'm betting they're enjoying the view every time they pull back the curtains of their sea-side home.
Looks like 'spontaneous sculpture',  is catching on in Riverton!
*Update - I've been contacted by the Mystery Artist - nice work Sam!

Hi Mr Guyton
Sam Menzies here, I heard about your photo, hope you like my warrior - I spent ages on it.

Sam! So you're the sculptor! You've created an awesome warrior!
He's magnificent! And frightening!
And huge, standing there on the sand with his spear held ready to hurl.
I've never seen anything quite like him on that beach. He must have been a challenge to build.
Have many people been stopping to gaze up at him?
He looks like the kind of guy you wouldn't wanna mess with!
I'm really glad there are people like you who get out there and do something that everyone else gets to enjoy as well.
I give you 10 out of 10 for that effort Sam!
