Waxy's goes Green

Waxy O'Shea's is a great pub for a meal and a meeting.

Green party supporters met at Waxy's on Monday night to select their Invercargill candidate.

They chose Dave Kennedy.

Good choice.

He's very capable and has every chance of winning huge support in Invercargill, if not the seat itself.

Thanks Waxy O'Shea's, for the venue and thanks Dave for putting your hand up for MP for Invercargill.

Is it true that the southern Scottish culture meant the the candidate was picked by who shouted the most rounds. I heard everytime the glasses were almost empty the toilets were suddenly full. However a good result from a lot of Scots drinking in an Irish Bar. Dave certainly has the passion and intelligence to serve both the south and NZ people well

There was a French woman there. She must have been puzzled by the repeated exodii.
By all accounts there were Natty prospects in the city today - did you spot anyone doing the Tory Shuffle, Philip? It's a kind-of jump to the right whilst clutching one's wallet and at the same time putting the boot in - not easy and takes decades of practise.

Well done to Dave. I'd say his chances of turning Invercargill Green are about the same as the chance of turning Coromandel Green.
Decades of experience for the new Tory? Clearly it's not anyone too prickly, then. Which leamington will get a blue ribbon pinned to it this year? The anticipation is killing me, in a bored to death kind of way.

I hear it going to be the young sam morgan the nats want. His record with trade me stands him apart especially we are down to the hard to sell stuff. His dad gareth bought the Phoenix so he could get some practice with the boot so well rounded candidate.
