Scareblackbird - the plums are too big for kereru now. That tree's developed the perfect form for climbing. I remember a similar tree from my childhood where I used to clamber after school and pelt passers-by with plums - it took many visits to the principal's office to cure me of that, it being so much fun an all.
Happy new year to you, AC. We've a lovely day down here, for 2013's last. I've been planting Cape gooseberries en masse around my lemonry and put in a pohutukawa beside the entrance to my driveway, having seen how well they can grow here (or at least in Bluff).

You wouldn't waste the plums now!!
Depends on the passer-by. There are some people I'd pelt, but they don't holiday in Riverton.

A subtle dig at your regular commenter who likes to bang on about ES remuneration? Clearly they pay peanuts.
Happy new year Robert.
