For as long as I can remember, I've loved frogs. I spent a good deal of time in my childhood crouching beside ponds, watching Golden Bell frogs swim about, croak to each other and leap at flying insects. I kept young whistling frogs in jars and dangled tiny spiders by their threads to feed them (poor spiders!).
As a result of my life long passion for amphibians, I've been regularly gifted ornaments fashioned in their likeness, some beautiful, others not so much. This latest gift, arriving at Christmas time from my sister, is a wee cracker, coming as it does in the form of a candle holder, another "thing" I like to have around.
