Quince

Beautiful. Here in Auckland my quince tree has been loaded for weeks but they don't look blemish-free like this one. They also tend to be ravaged by codlin moth caterpillars.
Still - even working round the bugs there is still enough poached quince for breakfast every day

Hi, AB. Not all of my quinces are picture-perfect, but most look pretty good, partly because we don't have codling moth at all! Some quince varieties in my garden split as the season passes, but that's not too awful. I've some that are seed-grown; they are a smaller quince and have taken years to produce more than a few fruits but are hitting their straps now that they are in their teens.
