Fruit tree sale

I'm flat out for three days, selling fruit trees and talking with Southland's rapidly growing team of back-yard orchardists.

I'd like a fruit tree like the one in the picture. It looks like it grows oranges, pears and plums. Is that through selective breeding, or are you secretly an advocate and practitioner of GM?

I'll send you one.

Hmmmm, thanks Robert, that's a generous offer but I'll have to say no, for some complex reasons.
My garden is nearly full and only has room for one more tree. I'm hoping a bloke from Wellington who I met a while back will give me one of his trees and I'm saving a space for it. It's also GM tree, but it doesn't grow a range of pip fruit, stone fruit and citrus, it grows money! He's been asked about it before and he's denied it exists, but that's just to throw people off the trail. He stripped it bare a couple of years ago to bail out some of his mates and their finance companies, mostly South Canterbury Finance and I think he's waiting for it to recover before taking cuttings.
His boss offered me some fairies that he reckons print money. He told me all I need to do is to put them in the bottom of my garden and off they'll go. Of course there's no such thing as fairies, but it makes you wonder how such shysters manage to get I to much important positions.

On a serious note, good luck with the sale. I hope you are flat out busy and meet lots of interesting people.

Day one was an excellent one, AC and meet interesting people I surely did. Two recent holiday-in-Britain-makers brought back books on mummers, apple howlers, green men and more, for me to read and enjoy and I'm about to set down by my fire and do just that. We're to have a howling soon I'm composing a hat already and have the cider set aside for the punch.
Your Welly tree-guy sounds an embarrassment to the whole team. He'll not get a sticker.

Hi There
This might sound a silly question but we are looking at purchasing a property 20 minutes north of Invercargill and wanted to know if Fruit trees will grow in southland. We are from canterbury and currently grow stone fruit. Just wondering if any help could be offered on the options on fruit trees in beautiful southland please
