Mr Boggan reveals hugely serious environmental threat

"If a well blowout occurs during deepwater drilling operations off Taranaki and Canterbury this summer, four jumbo jets full of equipment will be deployed to deal with the emergency.

But it would take up to two weeks to get the equipment here from Britain, Anadarko international deepwater drilling manager Stuart Boggan told a national oil and gas conference in New Plymouth this week."

TWO WEEKS!!

Just to get the equipment to New Zealand? Then how much longer to contain the blowout?

Idiots.

Vandals.

The Oil Companies do not invest much resources into clean up procedures. The consent to allow these companies in to New Zealand to rip up the terrain is shameful.
We cannot have deep sea drilling in New Zealand.

Will the oil companies pay a bond before they begin drilling?
The hell they will.
