No no no no no no no no no. No Robert, you have it totally wrong. The voters of NZ would much prefer an abstract concept like "a competitive market for electricity" than anything tangible like "a lower electricity bill".

Not thinking is so much easier, Shane. Successful politicians rely on the principle and appeal to what is often referred to as common sense. I'm sure you already know this.
National have been quite good at appealing to common sense for at least a decade, however they will need to think hard to counter this one. It will be interesting to see if they are capable.
As paranormal noted elsewhere, it's shaping up to be a fascinating election.
