The observations of an observant Southlander
I think everyone is better looking....
Eric's got bucolic chic down pat. In his rough-hewn way, he's very attractive to some Southern belles, I'm informed.Go figure!
Keeping in mind that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and agreeing also that IMO the MPH for invercargill lacks movie star good looks (as do I), you raise and interesting point.Would we be better off if we elected our representatives based on their aesthetic appeal? I'm inclined to believe that while the bunch we have at present, with a few exceptions, are at best quite hopeless, replacing them with willow thin clothes horses and buff blokes would be worse.
And anyway, Bridgette, Sophia, Hayley et al are unlikely to be the slightest bit interested in becoming politicians in New Zealand.More's the pity :-)
actually AC they may be much less full of crap and may listen to people or alternatively they may rather just want to go shopping and preen themselves and leave the country to its own devices.Much of our governance seems to be about taking systems that are chugging along ok and making them worse. Most of the problems come from political interference and political incompetence. have a decorative parliament may be quite an improvement - at least watching the parliamentary channel with the sound off would be improved no end
sounds like some fairly wishful thinking there, darkhorse.
