I was standing at a central point in the room. The walls were
all at approximately the same distance from me. I continued to stand
there for a few moments.

What a motivated powerhouse of activity that man is. If only I were so motivated. Why only yesterday I happened to look down and yes, one of my shoelaces was undone. For a moment I was shocked, but then I thought, fuck it, I'm going to bed in a couple of hours.
