Cob oven stage #5


Removing the sand 'core'.
It's drying time now. I peened the surface of the dome yesterday and it looks as though there are no fissures. I've cut the door a little smaller than the last one, so the pizza will have to be a mini, but it looks in proportion to me. The walls are thick and the proportion of sand to clay greater than with our first oven, so the first few firings will be very interesting.
