How charming! Odly enough, I saw something of the sort on a movie I happened upon last night - some poor fellow fell into such a trap and was skewered by a wooden spike. I'm not sure if it was smeared with rotted meat. Not before he fell, anyway.
That's the floor of my 'summer-house', Gecko. A space for sitting in - writing perhaps, sorting seeds or plotting - who knows? It won't be til it's finished that it's true purpose will be known.
