It has captured our headlines for 7 days running, Fred and looks to go all the way to the election. Southlanders overwhelmingly agree that it's at the forefront. You could write a letter to our editor (letters@stl.co.nz) and tell Fred he's on the wrong track with water and that Southlanders are 'a bit diluted' - it'd be fun to read the responses and I'd happily post them here for you to read.
Over the last few days by checking the voting stats on the sites of the daily artcles on the water issues in the Southland Times I have found that my multipite appear to have been recorded at least eight times.By checking the results and then voting immediately, then rechecking the results ihave seen the numbers alter by one. Surely it is unlikly that some other person has voted exactly at the sametime? Only 140 votes recorded over the last 7 days, hardly makes it an election issue as important as say the Extortion Theft and Asset sale proposals. As President Ronald Reagan said beware when you hear the words " We're from the Government and we're here to help" As other readers may well have voted more than once I have much pleasure in declaring the poll invalid.
Hi, Robert Sorry Robert, in that I forgot to preview my comments. The main mistake of importance is where I used the words Extortion --Theft--I should have added Swindle which in MHOP sums up the ETS proposals.
I shall take up your challenge and forward the corrected copy to the Letters to the Editors column S'Times. Thanks.
Colin - curious that you and I are singing from the same song sheet over asset sales. As to the ETS, National's 'crafted' version is just as you describe. You're a bold man. declaring yourself a cheat in the local rag, but good for you - I look forward to reading your letter and any ensuing responses :-) As to on-line polls - they are as unreliable as any politician could hope them to be. Much like the other polls we are presented with regularly.

No wonder you are a bit diluted down there, Rg, if you think water is the biggest issue.
Yes?
