Today, the South Coast Environment Society Inc. is holding its 5-year strategic planning workshop at Riverton and you're invited to tell us what you'd like to see the Society do over the next 5 years. This is the third time we've held such an event and the first two have been enormously successful and fun to boot. We open the doors of Fleck's hall next door to the Environment Centre on Riverton's main street, at 11 am and will be there til 2:00 pm, harvesting ideas from any and everyone who comes along. We have found that these sessions do direct our activities to a significant extent and that we do achieve, by the end of the 5 years, what we set out at the beginning, so come along if you can, and tell us where you'd like us to go :-)

Sounds like fun! How did it go?
We talked all day! It was very satisfying in that we made discoveries about ourselves and set a course for broader horizons. We had some high-powered help from people experienced in other fields and we were forced to look deep into our collective souls. We were all pretty happy by the end of the day and now that our shared pizza is finished, we're off dancing! After I've had a coffee.
