Ambushed!

When  the Southland Times reporter and photographer swept into the council chamber at Environment Southland yesterday, my pulse quickened!
What had happened?
Was there an anti-lignite protest forming outside our doors?
Were there angry dairy farmers pulling up in the car park, intent on storming the chamber?
Nope.
The newshounds were hunting a blogger and he was me.
My trouble-a post-mill (below) had alerted them to a possible stoush between the blogging councillor (me) and those who don't. Blog, that is.
"Was I being banned from blogging by my peers?" the beady-eyed journalist pressed.
Some of my fellow councillors hung about nervously, trying to look disinterested.
Didn't really work.
