Two Dunedin women - one blind, the other mad.

Justice sits in a green space near the Dunedin railway station, scales in one hand, sword in the other, her blind eyes turned to the sun...and a massage parlour come house of ill-repute across the way. The building is owned by Act MP Hillary Calvert. Hillary has had a giant image of her own eyes printed and attached to the top face of her building, for reasons known only to her.
It's really quite bizarre.
I was walking below the building yesterday and took this photo, after having shot Justice a minute or two earlier.
I could have named this post 'Act of Madness.'

Scoop there, Robert.

How did you know whose eyes were on the massage parlour?

I read the ODT yesterday morning. They'd already scooped the story. Last night, TV3 covered it.
If you've ever seen Calvert's eyes while they were attached to her head, you'd wonder why she'd want to show them anywhere!
Even the very staunch Act Party man I spoke to yesterday about Brash (he's highly encouraged by the 'developments' there) was appalled by Calvert and everything she's doing.
The parlour was shut. It was Sunday.
No one needs a massage on a Sunday do they?

Maybe she moonlights there?

She'd scare the customers.

Act's cold, un-blinking stare Shunda - vote for Key and you'll get it in spades.

More to the point.... beyond the greedy and selfish crowd.... have you seen the article in The Guardian today... record increases (worst ever)in CO2 emissions for 2010 dispite recession, means 2C limit almost out of reach.

Thanks anonymous - yes, I have read that today. Too late now, the commentators are saying, to do anything bar batten down the hatches. I think Hansen has it right and that there is one thing worthwhile left to try. Could someone please tell Gerry?
