Southern Squall - come in!

Whatever happened to Southern Squall?
We had a lively and topical, locally-political blog beaming out of Southland, casting the spotlight on Inver-politics clean and dirty, until the day it inexplicably self-destructed, imploded, melted down or was 'curtailed' - no one seems to know for sure.
Can anyone enlighten me?
Did someone pull their plug or did one of the writers trip over the cord?
(Wild unsubstantiated rumours welcomed).

The Squall guys were jornalism tutors at SIT. I heard they stopped when SIT said they couldnt access the site at work (which is weird - it's a journalism school) and they couldnt refer their students to it for news tips. One of them resigned on the spot, I heard. Sounds like SIT got the pip because those guys were telling it like it is. Like journalists are supposed to. (can't give my name, I'm a journalist myself)

Thanks anonymous.
In best investigative style I'm going to take what you say as gospel, because it rings true.
It's a great shame this happened. The coming local body elections will be a blander event as a result. The Squall certainly had a snappiness about it. I'm surprised though, that those involved folded so easily (seemingly).
I'd be provoked into action/reaction by having my blog extinguished.
I wonder if the remaining tutor would like to do a provocative guest post on my blog?
He'd/she'd be most welcome.
And thank you for the info, anon.
Good luck with your own ventures and remember to keep your head below the parapet (or not, depending on your aspirations).
