I suppose that bird will die unless the photographer fished it out and cleaned it. Fish stocks will be destroyed as well so there will be nothing for the pelicans to eat anyway. It is surprising how littel we are seeing of the disaster in our media considering it is still going on and hasn't gone away. I'm disgusted by the whole thing and I know it is not the only spill from the Mexican Gulf. When will NZ get our first one or has that already happened?

Poor pelicans! BP have a lot to answer for and I hope they are held to paying the true cost of their anti-environment behaviour.
The TRUE cost? I doubt being fined every cent they have would cover that.
