We found another roadside bird, this time an owl. I've rung the owl-rescue woman and we are making the transfer tonight. I hope this little guy fares better than the shag did. He seems bright enough, and un-fazed, though I think his wing is not as it should be.

There's dross alright and I've been running my fingers through it for years now, but latterly, I've lost interest. My own blog is de-politicising, at least at the national level, largely because I've had enough of the bs, craven fawning and mis-representation. Politics, eh! My wife was correct all along...
Still, I did play returning officer for the Invercargill Green Party candidate election last night, so I'm not entirely divorced...
