I live out of town but chose to represent the city folk. Also those living on Stewart Island, Bluff and other satellite towns. I figured they needed a feisty bloke who knew a bit about the environment and politics. My own area already had an entrenched representative, backed by the Federated Farmers. Next time, I'll stand and campaign against him and reclaim my birthright :-)
