Nuclear radiation threatens Key's Hawaiian home

This is serious! The Pacific island get-way, under threat from fall-out from Japan's nuclear meltdowns!
What can John do?
Suggestions that Gerry Brownlee be installed in the $5 million 'bach' to serve as 'radiation mass' to absorb the fall-out in the same way that bales of wool absorb spilt oil have been greeted by Key as 'a good idea'. Bill English too, is being considered for the purpose - wood having similar absorptive properties to Brownlee's bulk.
Key said, "While I feel for the people of Japan, I have to prioritise. Charity begins at home and Hawaii is my home away from home, so my ministers will be deployed where they are most needed."
"I expect that once my nuclear crisis is resolved, I'll turn my attention to the Land of No-Ordinary Sun', he quipped.

This is indeed serious, but surely Phil Goff's leaden performances of late, would make him the more effective shield/absorber?

Robert

You are a disgraceful person.

Turning yet another disaster in to a political mud slinging match.

You claim to have princples. HAHAHAHA.

What a disgraceful man you are.

You just cant help attacking Key.

But using such a serious thing as what is happening in Japan is so low that even calling it sewer politics is not low enough.

Anonymous - if you find it difficult to sort satire from political mud-slinging, ask a friend before you comment. Or ask me. I'll help you.

I have a friend in Japan, near the place of major impact. I found your post purely tasteless and highly offensive.

If Blogs could be reported to the broadcasting standards authority i would be lodging a complaint

If you think it is okay to "satire" about such a horrific event then you are one sad person.

Anonymous - if you read the post with your 'tolerant' brain engaged, you'll realise that it's not about Japan at all, but Hawaii and John Key's $5 million holiday home.
If you are so very sensitive to satire, stay on Inv2's blog and enjoy the lampooning of Winston Peters and Phil Goff.
That's ahrmless enough, eh!

Why is the left so obsessed and repulsed by John Key owning property offshore, and holidaying there? I don't recall the same level of outrage at Helen Clark owning property in the UK, and going cross-country skiing in Scandanavia or climbing Mt Kilimanjaro.

You chipped me a while back about the danger of becoming typecast on my blog; may I respectfully suggest that you are in danger of exactly the same fate?

Nice Try Robert, but the fact that it refers to the radiation COMING FROM JAPAN makes it about japan.

Sad.

Anonymous - don't be daft.
Inv2 - is the left 'so obsessed and repulsed by John Key owning property offshore, and holidaying there?'
I didn't know. As to my making fun of the bach, I'm not The Left, nor am I obsessed and repulsed. It's a great lever to prod Key's adoring fans with, that modest Hawaaian get-away, and it works well on you!
Typecast! Hilarious. I've done a couple of borax-poking posts that feature Key and you and you're followers squealed so loud I was encouraged to try another. Now I'm certain I'm on to a good thing :-)
Thou dost protest too much,methinks.

Just my opinion said...

Don't worry Greenfly, I always typecasted you as a bit of a twat from the beginning :)

Heine - snap!
However I'm watching, hoping, praying for signs of improvement in you :-)
