There's a town called Piopio!
I've seen the Piopiotahi sign many times and know where that leads but Piopio was a surprise!
I must get out and about more.
The bird, btw, represents one of the saddest of the extinctions we have subjected our islands to, having been the most melodious of all our songbirds. I suppose we don't know what we're missing.
