Frosted chook

I have three free-ranging hens and they are black.
They roost in the shrubs beside the driveway.
This morning they are white with frost.
Doesn't seem to bother them one bit.
Mind you, it's hard to read expression on a hen's face.

wow, this is amazing. Can you get us a photo of frosted chickens if it happens again!? I can't even begin to imagine how cold they are... then again, I'm enjoying wearing a down jacket this winter - perhaps they are just the same?

Should have called the post 'frozen chicken', shouldn't've I.
Even though they were wearing a rimey coat, they can still move fast! I doubt I'd get close enough for a snap.
I did notice that this morning they were back in black, despite the heavy frost. I think they're sleeping on their old perches in the hen-tractor - wise birds.
