Aren't they astonishing! Huge, sweet, delicious (yes, I know, one's an egg; put there to show their size). We've baskets and baskets of them and still more on the trees, ripening. I've never seen a crop like it and as they swell, I fear for the branches, so huge are the fruits and numerous are they; the birds, eating at full throttle, are barely making a dent in the crop, though there are dozens of plums knocked by them onto the ground. Year of the Plum, for sure!
