Nearly lost him!

Would you toss this charming toy guinea pig out, without checking with the soft-hearted man who bought it at an op shop? Of course you wouldn't! Fortunately, I spotted him inside of a paper bag filled with other rejected soft toys, sitting on the back seat of my car, before he was lost back into the second hand goods cycle. You'll be happy to learn that he's back on his little-person's chair, in our living room, recovering from his near-ejection and squeaking delightedly. Like his owner.

Ah!! Beneath that stealy exterior,Rg, lies a soft-hearted gentle man.

I guess so, Fred. By contrast, beneath the soft exterior of that guinea pig, lies a steely mechanism that causes him to move his legs and squeak, whenever his belly is squeezed.

We had a wee Ruru that called when squeezed till his battery flattened.
Yours truly being a DIYer. managed to extract the aged batteries, but in doing so
also managed to wreck the electrics.
Now we just get a cuddle from him/her.

Perhaps, Fred,it's best that you and I stay a good distance from our real pets - all that squeezing would do them no good. Mind you, our cat, Jasper, enjoys a vigorous stroke and a ruffle up!
