Its wings are a bit ragged and that's not surprising, given the strong winds of the past couple of days but this Yellow Admiral found a calm, warm spot on out kitchen window sill where it could rest and recharge. I hope it's female and wanting to lay her eggs on the nettles I have growing in the tub by the beehive. I've seen a few caterpillars on the needley leaves already, but there's room for more.

Admiral visits
Its wings are a bit ragged and that's not surprising, given the strong winds of the past couple of days but this Yellow Admiral found a calm, warm spot on out kitchen window sill where it could rest and recharge. I hope it's female and wanting to lay her eggs on the nettles I have growing in the tub by the beehive. I've seen a few caterpillars on the needley leaves already, but there's room for more.
