8 ginkgo

I was gifted a clutch of ginkgo saplings. This morning I planted them in select spots throughout my garden. One day, they'll dominate the skyline, I suppose, but in the meantime, I'll enjoy watching them grow. I'll especially appreciate their butter-yellow autumnal displays.
Yesterday, at the Earthcraft festival, I was given a heritage gooseberry bush by a woman from Central Otago. The fruits are, she told me, large and red. I've been looking for such a gooseberry for some time now. How she knew that I do not know. This morning a woman from Wanaka rang, asking if I had a red heritage gooseberry, something she had been searching for everywhere. Curious co-incidence.
