Today's letter in The Southland Times

With world leaders finally agreeing on climate change and the need to take immediate action, surely our government will withdraw its invitation to oil companies to drill for oil and gas here in New Zealand. Extracting and burning fossil fuels is the main cause of climate change; the National Government would be reckless to continue to encourage it.
