High-grafting Yellow Ingestre

It's the most ungainly of all apple trees, Yellow Ingestre, is a weeper and a flopper. If you want to grow it, you'll need to do as I have done here and graft Ingestre scions onto a tall 'standard', so it can droop where it will without tangling-up your orchard. I grafted onto a 4 year-old crab-apple trunk and expect to have a graceful tree come midsummer.
