Kereru close-up
Our pair of pigeons have become very relaxed around us, largely ignoring us as we and they go about our various business. This afternoon, I got close enough, not by creeping and sneaking, but simply by walking to a convenient spot, to take these close-up shots with my fairly ordinary camera. Nice, aren't they!

Fattening up nicely for Christmas. This spring seems to have suited them as they are all looking well feed. We have a couple calling to feed on a weeping willow every morning and seem unaware of the building going on right below them
They love willow, kowhai and plum but nothing delights them as much as broom.
