GMO Grass Set for Lawns Across US - No Regulation Needed

"A little-noticed, almost nonchalant article in the Columbus Dispatch last week portends substantial environmental mischief.
The article notes that Scotts Company is going forward with plans to commercialize GMO Kentucky bluegrass. Mentioned in passing was that this grass, engineered for resistance to the herbicide glyphosate (AKA Roundup), is not regulated by USDA, and that company employees will begin planting the grass at their homes."

The article, here, goes on to describe just how the company and those who support the widespread release of GMO grasses went about the business of avoiding the controls you'd expect around such an action.

How long will it be, I wonder, until the Fonterra do something similar with the GMO ryegrasses they are sponsoring the development of in Australia and 'make them available' to our dairy farmers.

Not long is my bet.
