Leaden skies, dead plant.

As we drove back through Mataura and toward Edendale, the skies darkened. The Dong Wa factory didn't miss a beat though, and continued to pump out what ever that is that spews day and night from its stack. Over the road, the Bill English's  briquette plant was eerily quite.

It looks like the factory might be spewing out that nasty hydrogen hydroxide stuff.

If a man's spewing water, he's still spewin' :-)
There's nothing much wrong with what's coming out of that stack and thank goodness, the briquette factories has nothing at all coming out of its. That was going to be a greenhouse-gas pumper, no question!

What happened to the briquette plant?

Ha!
De-comissioned, mothballed, who knows?
Apparently it's too dangerous to run. There's a very real chance that the briquettes will spontaneously combust and burn the place to the ground, which would be dangerous for the employees and very embarrassing for Mr English and Mr Key.
