Oncle Para
I spent the afternoon watching Parekura Horomia being spoken to and about in the House. I'm glad I did. It was an extraordinary event. There were waiata. There were tears and jokes. Louisa Wall is speaking now. There are others to come. It's great.

It was Parliament at its finest Robert. I'm sure that you were even able to momentarily forgive John Banks after his heartfelt tribute. It was a heart-warming afternoon, and speakers from across the House remembered Chief with considerable and genuine affection.
Yes, KS, I was moved. I have to say that Hekia Parata did herself and her whanaunga proud on the day. When she's good, she's very very good. When she's bad, she is horrid!
