Thinking about running (standing)

From a "sitting" member of the current Council ;-)

I think the tie is a bit bland. It doesn't inspire me to vote for you. However, as I live outside the southward region this counts for very little.
In any case, Mr Pleasance and I are waiting to see a photo of you wearing three ties.
On a more serious note - good luck. I think ES benefits from having you as a councillor and on this basis you should certainly run again.

Ha!I suppose it would be mean to say of that Council, that its chairman was caught lying :-)

AC - bland? Those are clouds and I was mocking bouncy Mr Key that night. Still, you are right, of itself it's quite plain. If I'd worn my dodo tie, along with the "Dipton Blue" number I've been saving for special, I might have reached level "Interesting".
Must try harder. Thanks for your kind words.

Yes yes yes, but where is the photo of you wearing three ties?

In the developer fluid right now!

I am considering voting for the person wearing the most ties.

Stick your neck out Guyton.

robertguyton said...

Considering?
I need more commitment than that, Shane.
I don't tie-up for mere consideration.

I'm the opposite Shane; the least tethered candidate would get my vote..stupid, useless sartorial item.

robertguyton said...

Tethered, Suz?
I don't attach the other end of my ties to anything (post, iron ring in wall etc.) Should I have been?

Suz said...

Deep south an' all that, who knows what goes on with y'all? ;)

I hate having to put a collar on my dog when we're out, and liken it to suffocating ties. Simply never understood their apparent significance as a show of professionalism/respect.

Suz - have you ever considered why you don't see any men wearing ties that are stubby?

Shane Pleasance said...

Gasp - Suz supports Anarchist Candidate.

Me too!

;-)

Shane Pleasance said...

Perhaps wearing ONLY a tie?

robertguyton said...

Or three, as would be the requirement for me.
There's an Anarchist candidate?
What's her name?

actually there original function was to keep the body odour from seeping out around the collar in the days before washing was an obsession

Suz said...

Cheers Darkhorse...didn't know that.

Rob; your stubby comment now has me looking far more intently at the length and breadth of those dangly bits of material...say no more.

Shane...my 16 year-old son is a budding Libertarian, you'd be proud :)
