Rice revolution!

India's rice revolution
(Hat-tip Richard@Homepaddock)

In a village in India's poorest state, Bihar, farmers are growing world record amounts of rice – with no GM, and no herbicide. Is this one solution to world food shortages?

This article from http://www.guardian.co.uk is astonishing in its ramifications for rice farming globally and for other forms of horticulture, imho. Providing the peer reviewing remains sound and those who would see a new, simple, non-GMO, non-herbicide/petrochemically fertilized system of food growing stopped in its tracks, don't succeed, this is momentous.
