Grooming the foreshore

This morning, a small and warmly-dressed team of volunteers braved the hail and wind for an estuary-foreshore clean-up. We found plenty of rubbish amongst the driftwood and jointed-rushes and filled 12 bags with plastic flotsam and jettisoned glass bottles.
Here are a couple of my favourite finds. Not shown are the bald tennis ball and a sign that read,
"CAUTION; POWDER ACTUATED TOOL IN USE"
What might that mean, I wonder?

Doll's leg and hefty chunk of glass

The sack I dragged
