At shop

I'm on duty at the Environment Centre. I'd have prefered to have kept on pruning in my orchard, but I was needed to cover the 1:30 to 3:00 slot, so here I am. There's a woman grinding spelt in the electic flour mill beside me as I tap out this message, a grower unloading his carrots and potatoes from his stationwagon outside and the editor of our 'Coastline' magazine, beavering away in the office in order to get the publication out before 4:00pm. I'm no longer wishing I was outside, as the rain has begun to fall, so here I am, warm and cosy, in a lovely spot and still able to browse the net and have my say.
