There and back again.

Dunedin was fun; the two conferences interesting in the main, and the company also - 'mayors and chairs' they call them. There was much discussion about the Government's plans to 'improve' local government. Today's event was held in a box...of the corporate sort, at the stadium. I roamed about during the breaks, climbing up and down the steps, from rubberized paddock to the glass-fronted box. I did take photos and will publish those later. The cafe at the western end of the stadium is very good. I had a very enjoyable talk with a mechanical engineer in the throes of exams - what a clever fellow he was! I bought him a bag of groceries to tide him over. Had a pint with me ol' mate Ciaran also. He's looking well. Brian and Rowly provided some laughs against a fairly serious background of political negotiation and strategising, and I watched the Hunger Games, which was rubbish, I'm sorry to say. There was thick fog from Milton to Mataura. I was driving and did so carefully.
