The second set of triplets are kewpie dolls. Back in their day they were bigger than smurfs. They still enjoy a residual following in Japan, which is likely where the set in your pic originated. Rupert Murdoch probably owns most rights to the work of kewpie creator Rose O'Neill, so her stuff's hard to find on line.
