Heart-wrenching email

"I am writing you in tears. The ongoing civil unrest in our country Syria reshaped my future. I lost my husband. He was dealing with Gold Dust / Bars before death swept him away."

It would be cruel to ask where this fictitious gold dealer is now, wouldn't it? Where do they go, the John Keys of this world, when they are 'lost'?
As for the tearful woman (I'm presuming it's a woman. Is same-sex marriage likely to be something the Syrians have adopted even before we have here? I don't imagine so.) she's clearly upset and her judgement made poor, as evidenced by her sending her heart-felt plea to hard-hearted me. I do though, wish her all the best in her efforts to befuddle some poor sap. Equally of course, I wish that sap the wisdom to avoid being befuddled. I always like to be fair.

When did you become so suspicious and cynical, Rob?

Must say it's not very becoming!

When I signed over my fortune to a fine sounding Nigerian gentleman, Suz. Think I'd be a lowly blogger if I still had my millions?

Bugger...maybe an invite to our teenage son's wedding to a lovely lass from Russia will cheer you up?

Can't wait to meet her...have sent money for her air-fare plus for all those pesky miscellaneous expenses that always crop up.

Hope y'all can make it.

Congrats, Cam, you lucky lad!
If only, if only, my own boys were as quick off the mark as you! When opportunity knocks, I say, 'throw open the door!'.
