De minimis

Here's something that interested me during yesterday's Council workshop; a phrase that describes very little :-)

"The term "de minimis" has survived, though the use of Latin maxims is now out of fashion, since there is no equally convenient and pithy English alternative. It is a shorthand way of expressing the full Latin maxim "de minimis non curat lex". That is usually translated as"the law is not concerned with trifles."
