Bird-unfriendly facade

It wasn't til I was cropping this photo taken yesterday of some stone acanthus leaves decorating a building in Invercargill, that I noticed the pigeon-excluding wires. You might have to click on the image to see the detail.

I've long called it "Hitlers Bunker", on the front is mention of being an "army" who are "committed" to their cause!

I have many religious friends, and attended not one but two Catholic schools, all my education has been spent in religious schools.

I have to say, if this church was in the USA, the sign would be all the more frightening, I can imagine some far right politics associated with being a "family", a "hospital" (and against "socialist" public hospitals) a "school" (wonder if they teach evolution???) and an "army"!

I've been privy to one of the meetings held in that building.
Be afraid, be very afraid :-)
