Out and about all day today, doing a barn-check all around Southland. Minivans packed with Councillors are to visit the massive wintering-barns of our region, to give us a better idea of what modern dairy farming is all about. I'll be brandishing my camera and critical facility like a sword, seeking both upsides and downsides to illustrate a post here when I get back tonight. My greatest concern is that while I'm galavanting about the place, the bees will return and recolonise my home. I can hear two now, buzzing about the pots and pans that hang from the ceiling in the kitchen.
