The IC block was very successfully utilised in the 70's to demonstrate various logic functions using air pneumatics, not electrickery as is the miniaturised norm today.
Correct, PMofNZ. You're obviously in the loop. The IC block presents all sorts of possibilities into the future in terms of doing stuff, including computing. It's tough, resilient stuff, compared to flimsy circuit board/chip electrickery.
