Jenny McNamara of Gore wrote a letter to the editor of the Southland Times, published this morning, about Bill English's pre-emptive veto of the Parental Leave Bill. In her letter, she says that the Government has lost sight of democracy.
In his reply, printed below Ms McNamara's letter, English says,
"Finally, we had an election in November, when parties campaigned on this policy and lost, despite its merits. That's democracy."
Can't you just smell the arrogance?

Bored with Bill?
He neglected to mention that the vast majority of New Zealanders didn't vote for him, or his party. I guess you'll find that a big yawn too, animal.
Anyone taken the wind out of your sails yet?
