Unhappy shag
Though this young shag made for good photography, he was not well and barely reacted to my close presence. Maybe he was tired out, I don't know but he seemed to be in a fugue.

We get a lot of these juvenile shags up here and many don't make it. Took a tour out the spit the other day and unfortunately one died right in front of the tourists!!!

He didn't look thin but it's hard to tell what's happening beneath those feathers. he wouldn't have been cold, as the day was lovely, but we did have a chilly night recently. Maybe he got chilled then. Or ate a bad fish.
