Say sorry John (or I'll sue ya!)

John Key said some untrue things about the cameraman whose microphone lay unnoticed on the table at which he and Banks sat and sipped tea, the cameraman says, and now he wants an apology from Key for saying those things. If Key doesn't apologize, the cameraman will consider suing the Prime Minister.
This should move the issue along nicely.
Tea, anyone? Sue? You?

It's only fair he has his day in court to negate the over reaching power and attempts to shut down the media by this very disappointing PM. I'm afraid for the country's future with this man at the helm. We are a divided NZ at the moment almost 50/50 left/ right. And Jk is very much to blame for this.

A divided New Zealand. That's a sobering thought, Nicole. Some people would say that's balanced and others would see it as a stalemate.

I find it hard to believe that a professional cameraman in an industry that moves so quickly would lose track of his equipment, much less leave it turned on. This aside, it WOULD be interesting if it went further as much of what is on the "news" these days might be interesting to the public, but not of public interest.

Well Mel, that you find it 'hard to believe' in no way makes it wrong. I think that any judge ruling on the charge that he did it on purpose, will find in his favour, clearly.
The discussion between Key and Banks is, in my opinion, very much 'in the public interest'. I don't buy Key's outrage at the media for one second. He hopes to contain the information and not have the public glimpse his unguarded opinions and attitude.
