Kennedy rides rings around Roy

Eric started of well - first out of the blocks with his 'I'll walk Southland for National' ploy to reach his voters, but Dave Kennedy, Green candidate for Invercargill is hot on his heels and on two wheels with his own campaign. Dave'll cover far more ground than the plodding Eric, and is taking his billboard with him, on a purpose-built trailer. What a great idea, Dave!
Here's our man, preparing to hit the streets. Notice the lack of a diesel-powered 4 litre support vehicle (with driver), Mr Roy! That's how the real environmentalists do it!

I have just returned from an informal gathering in Wachner Place in support of "Global Action", an internationally spreading movement against corporate and banking greed.

We were a diverse group of people and after introducing ourselves had a great discussion about international economics and social and income disparity. I spent time in the city centre introducing myself and handing out the latest Green leaflet. There has been a huge shift in public perceptions, when i was supporting Craig carson's campaign last year, I heard lots of "I'm thinking about voting Green", this year I'm hearing "I'm definitely voting Green".

I think I do need a sign on my back saying "volunteers and donations welcome" as we have doubled the number of volunteers from last year and people are still offering.

Dave; the best of luck to you.

It's toss-pots like Anon, who confirm my decision to vote Green this time round, having been a National voter for many years. Blogs like yours and Rob's have played a major role in this change of heart...keep up the good fight.

'Toss-pots' - perfect choice of label.
