Was it the sign outside the Working Man's Club in Invercargill that read,
"Electrical Commission meeting" that deterred Southlanders from going to hear (and see) the lovely Therese Arseneau and her Electoral Commission associates, discuss the coming voting referendum?
I guess we'll never know for sure.
What we do know is that the auditorium was 'thinly populated', but the presenters, undeterred.
Had I not been at function with MfE last night in Riverton, I'd have been at the meeting in town. Electricity reform has long been an interest of mine.

More wind power or just hot air.
Wow, how does one reform electricity?
Therese is more than hot air, fred, believe me!
Shane - grab some, give it a firm twist, pack it into a pre-made mould and leave in a cool room for an hour. Reformed.
Years ago when I worked for the Justice Dept and we did the processing of the electoral rolls, we used to have little old ladies ringing up asking if we could help them when the power went out.
John Key will be ringing the Electrical Commission in November when his power goes out
Ha!
